Founded on the pedigree of Colonel Lester Leander “L.L.” Hawkins, came our new apartment building in the Conway District of Portland, Oregon. Hawkins, the city’s turn-of-the-century visionary, came to the town in 1879 regarding an offer of becoming a chief engineer and general factotum for entrepreneur John C. Ainsworth. While his trade was instrumental in the development of the Portland Railway, his public spirit led to devotion towards preserving Forest Park as well as other notable Portland parks. Hawkins envisioned a widespread park along the West Hills and drew plans for such a development. Complete with hiking and biking trails, the terrain still lies as envisioned today. 

Since 2015, our building stands with a rooftop overlooking Forest Park and the eclectic NW Portland neighborhood. On the ground level, there is a mix of unique shops and restaurants. LL Hawkins invites you to Portland’s renewed community in Slabtown. Contact us to learn more!
